Membership of the Smyrna Optimist Club represents a cross-section of business, social, and cultural life of the community and consists of adults of good character and community standing, who reside or have interest in the City of Smyrna and its youth.
The club is nondenominational, nonpolitical and membership applications are considered without regard for gender, race, creed or national origin.
Membership is held by individuals and is not transferrable. Persons seeking membership in the club are required to gain a member sponsor and furnish a membership application for board approval.
Members are encouraged to participate in as many club meetings, projects and functions as their time allows, however, there are no minimum service requirements.
